Book Description

Essays on Chan Buddhism and the Sinicization of Buddhism is a collection of research articles by the monastic scholar Shi Yanhan on Chan Buddhism and the sinicization of Buddhism, bringing together more than sixteen essays written between 2016 and 2026. About the Author

释延晗

Shi Yanhan is a native of Luoyang, Henan Province, and a postgraduate of Henan University of Science and Technology and the Jiechuang Buddhist Studies Institute. He took monastic vows at Shaolin Monastery on Mount Song, received novice precepts at Pingxing Monastery on Mount Taimu, and received full ordination at the Tianzhong Hall of Nanhai Chan Monastery. He currently lectures at Hanshan College, Jiangsu Buddhist Academy. His research focuses on East Asian Chan Buddhist literature and thought.
